MACS Associates, as it was known in 1993, was founded by Mr Sam Tan.

An equity partnership emerged four months after incorporation, comprising of MACS Associates, government linked ECICS Credit Insurance Limited and United Insurance Brokers, an independent London-based International broking company.

UIB complements our operations by lending its expertise in areas which was previously dominated by International broking companies, particularly in the area of Energy.

MACS Associates was renamed MACS-ECICS Insurance Brokers Private Limited to recognize the strategic alliance with Temasek- owned ECICS Credit Insurance Company Limited.

In the second half of Year 2003, MACS Associates Private Limited acquired the shares of ECICS Credit insurance following Temasek Holdings divestment of non-core assets.
